Fredericia’s Flamingo chair was named after its bird-like form; the chair’s slender leg structure is reminiscent of a bird standing on one leg, while the armrests that softly curve to the side resemble wings. The design is completed with a comfortable backrest that seems to float above the seat.
Conceived by Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen in 2003, the Flamingo chair looks bafflingly timeless, as if it were an elegant design from decades past. Perhaps that’s why the chair is easy to envision in a variety of environments from home offices to executive lounges and from cafés to hotel suites.
